Does anyone know why there are absolutely no minutes posted for Planning or Zoning Board meetings. The timeliness lags for council meetings but absolutely none are posted for the two boards. Hopefully this is just an oversight, given that all of the democratic hopefuls have served on the Planning Board.

I was just trying to do my due diligence in an attempt to see the consistency of their voting (both with each other and specifically with major planning efforts, etc.)

Vinci and Lauro represented the Kauff team on the planning board for many years, up until 2008. Cannon is new so he has no history of any kind. Tagliarini and Montrose have always been loyal to the cause. Nobody should be offered a promotion off that planning board.

I am staying at my old residence on Baker Street which has been maintained in excellent condition by my dear friend Dr. John Watson ever since I departed these shores for my adopted home of Aberdeen.

I have a lot of information to tell everyone, but its very late here in London and old Holmes is not quite as young and sprite as he once was.

Before I head off to sleep however, I did want to say a few words on the recent comments by my personal idol the Truth. I fear his attack on my credibility is a sign he has been contacted by the FBI and told to discredit me and attempt to distract others from my mission.

I can only say to the Truth that I understand the influence J. Edgar Hoover has in your life. I understand he is making you say these things. I understand you are a true patriot and you truly believe Kauff won't be stopped if my mission continues.

In spite of Hoover's efforts to keep me from fully revealing the depths of the Kauff conspiracy, I won't be dissuaded from my sworn crusade to uncover the truth. You know we are on the same side Truth. You just have to keep your trust in me.

Case in point -- Its been exactly one week since I wrote my first message on this site. Has Kauff or any of the council members come here to deny those allegations?

NO! There have been no official denials to anything I have written. They dare not deny that Kauff shot JFK and JR. They dare not deny that Kauff was responsible for Watergate. They dare not deny that Kauff was responsible for the kidnapping of Paty Hearst and the Easter Bunny.(more on those in a later entry)

As there have not been any official denials, they must be true!

TRUTH - you are my idol and I know you do not believe the words J. Edgar is making you speak. We are on the same side and I will continue to act in your spirit as I continue my investigation into the truth behind Kauff and his minions.

I assure you that if I felt the FBI was doing a good job here, I would step back. However, it has been over a year since you first came to this blog and announced the FBI would be making arrests any day now. Where are they? You must ask yourself why they haven't arrested anyone yet even though so much information has been exposed on this blog.

I firmly believe the FBI has its heart in the right place. I just don't believe they will act until all of the evidence has been exposed. That is my mission and I will not be deterred from it.

So now, I must depart these pages and settle into my slumber. I do have a lot to tell everyone about my adventures in London since Santa Claus dropped me off in Piccadilly Circus. But that message will have to wait for another day. For now, Matt Houston's assistant, the lovely CJ, is calling for me from my bed.

Finally - someone on this blog has managed to make an intelligent policy argument as to why he does not support the Democrats without finding it necessary to resort to name calling.

I salute you. While I may not agree with your position, I respect you very much for being able to intelligently articulate your reasoning rather than finding it necessary to create crime fiction to advance your cause.

The Planning Board certainly has been manipulated into supporting bad policy -- or they just have bad judgment.It is the Planning Board that adopted a plan to substitute "multi-family residential" for more favorable "highway commercial" on both Route 34 and County Road. It was the Planning Board that used the the cover of compliance with affordable housing law "COAH" to make those changes -- when other local towns are challenging bad policy -- this town embaces it? It was the Planning Board that tried to limit cell antennas on one side of town while embracing them on the other side of town.

And on the subject of the Cambridge houses - too many homes were allowed to be built on too small a space. The other issues, relating to developer incompetence added to the problem. As for the housing crisis -- those homes were built before the crisis hit Aberdeen.

The new Democratic Chairperson is head of the Planning Board and all the Dem candidates come from the Dem Planning Board. These are Norman Kauff's people, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I agree that the arguments on this blog about Kauff's folklore (I call it folklore because like all folklore it may or may not have an origination in a glimmer of fact but has become folklore as it has been repeated and repeated over time). This folklore is irrelevant and we should assume that people did not have bad intentions. People who make a choice to volunteer there time on behalf of the town should not be lambasted for doing so. We should thank them -- but in this case it is time for them to move on.

The argument made here is that Kauff and the Planning Board's actions resulted in bad policy and bad planning. I simply do not trust the same people that were part of forming that bad policy to hold elected positions on Council.

Hey retiredinmatawan4now just so you know the opening salvo of the Matawan budget were printed in the Independent newspaper for your town and mine. It also listed in another article the candidates for elected office in Aberdeen. One name in particular surprised me. Fred Tagliarini was my grandsons coach years ago. Now it seems he is on the democratic team. I though he was a life long republican. Talk about strange political bedfellows. What did he get to join team Kauff? I can't wait to see him and ask him about that. If he starts off with Norman Kauff has nothing to do with me I will be very disappointed. Everybody who has lived here for some years knows the real deal about the democrats. You could also probably drop by Broad Street and pick up a full budget copy if you want. Good luck.

Anyone hear that a possible pension deferral may be coming to Matawan and staffing cuts to boot. Gee one would think it is an election year and it is time to pull out all of the tricks to make the voters think you are doing something on their behalf. Most towns budgets are set already and I keep looking for Matawan and Aberdeen in the legal section and on the web. Did they get an extension for the towns to get their act together?

What will they think of next? Maybe they will try and lay people off or better yet give the hard working people at the low end of the scale time off without pay. That makes sense to the heavy hitters making the most and doing the least I am sure. I am so glad my retirement checks arrive like clockwork. It would be tough to be working now. Especially during an election year when they will do anything to get elected. They already sold their souls now they will maybe sell the financial stability of the workers. That is politics NJ style.

I would like to bring this matter to everyones attention. I was just informed that Matawan township had removed the bleachers from PonyTail Park. Also they want to charge the league for porta johns.

Are you actually insinuating the Planning Board should be held responsible for a private developer's failure to sell homes he has built?

That would definitely be an interesting twist on the way things work.

Has it ever occurred to you that a developer's failure to sell property might be based on several factors: (1) the death of the housing market across the entire country, (2) the amount of money the developer is asking for the houses and (3) the style of the homes that were built.

What does any of that have to do with the Planning Board?
