Going EasyGreen

Jersey Central Power & Light has initiated an energy conservation plan named EasyGreen. Rarely has it been so easy to reduce energy costs and encourage conservation. The program costs you nothing, is easy to implement, and will save you money.

The greatest amounts of energy are used (or wasted) on moving parts and generating heat. Peak demand on the electric grid is during the hottest workdays when office buildings and homes are running air conditioning units plus the normal load from everyday appliances and factory needs. As the population grows, and becomes richer, energy demands grow as well.

When electric demands approach the grid’s capacity, the electric company only has three choices – 1) Build excess capacity 2) Implement rolling brownouts or 3) Encourage customers to use less.

Building more capacity would cost anywhere from hundreds of millions to billions of dollars and is simply uneconomical for the 10-20 days a year when the electric grid risks failing. Rolling brownouts, like what happened in California during the Enron days, are unacceptable. That leaves choice 3.

The EasyGreen program works by installing a sensor on your central air conditioning unit. For 95% of the year, the sensor does absolutely nothing. On those hottest workdays of the year, during peak hours, when the electric grid may reach capacity, Jersey Central will emit a signal that triggers the sensor to temporarily turn off the compressor in your central air conditioning unit. When demand recedes, the sensor will become inactive again.

A couple of points bear mentioning. First, the most likely occurrence is during the workday when many homes are empty. Secondly, the sensor only deactivates the compressor, not the fan, so your home will still get fresh air. Thirdly, if your house becomes too hot (more than 6 degrees above your current setting), the compressor will turn back on. (For those looking for the maximum savings, you can choose to allow the house to get 9 degrees hotter than the current setting.)

Jersey Central is providing the device and the service for free because it’s far cheaper than building/upgrading power plants or adding new transmission lines. For those people whose homes are empty during the workday, they’ll likely never notice the change. You save money by reducing electric usage during peak demand.

As an extra kicker, the first 3,500 people who register get a $50 gift card.

Oil is back above $100 per barrel and many oil producing nations don’t like us to put it mildly. Energy conservation reduces pollution and protects the environment. In this instance, Jersey Central Power & Light is doing their part. We need to do ours. The program only works if we all participate.

Just contacted them. They suggested you call the 866 number and they'll be able to help you.

I am confused how will Norman Kauff make more illegal money and continue his corruption by GOING GREEN.

I apologize to everyone as I just assumed that the term Going Green meant that Norman Kauff had figured out yet another way to rob the taxpayers of Aberdeen to feed his corrupt cohorts.

I was obviously wrong to think that the use of the term GOING GREEN was just meant that Norman Kauff was once again going for more *green* money from the Aberdeen taxpayer ATM.

My bad.

Back to Going Green.

Before I forget. F U Norman.

Going EasyGreen was very informative.

In addition the U C Brother was FUNNY.

I cannot give you more at this time as I have not had my wheaties.

Have a good weekend.

New Post just in time the other one was getting stale and not much new info or salacious news on our political snakes.

Wheaties? I rather eat cardboard. Try some of the old fashioned favorites like Corn Flakes with a banana or raisin Bran. Wheaties YUK.

For any of the Norman faithful who may be checking in this morning FU.

AMONGST THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE THREE OR FOUR MEMBERS OF A RADIO STATION WRAT-FM WHO WERE JUST FINISHING UP INFLATING A GIANT 20FT TALL "RAT" BALLOON RIGHT ON RT.34. YES, RIGHT HERE IN OUR ABERDEEN. YES, A GIANT "RAT" BALLOON ON DISPLAY IN ABERDEEN.

DO WE NOW HAVE OUR OWN LOCAL "RAT" TO BE DISPLAYED AS TO SYMBOLIZE OUR OWN "RAT POLITICIANS? PLEASE TELL ME YES.

DID THE ABERDEENER BUY A GIANT RAT TO BE DISPLAYED OUT THERE FOR ALL THE TAXPAYERS TO SEE EACH AND EVERY TIME ONE OR ALL OF OUR "RAT" POLITICIANS SHOW THEIR LITTLE RAT FACES IN PUBLIC?

SADLY I DID NOT SEE NORM NEXT TO HIS "CLOSE PERSONAL FRIEND" DAVID SOBEL. MAYBE NORM WAS HOME EATING SOME CHEESE? RIGHT NORM? YOU LIKE CHEESE DON'T YOU NORM? YOU STEAL ENOUGH TAXPAYER CHEESE.

WAIT A MINUTE I FORGOT NORM DOES NOT LIKE TO BE SEEN IN PUBLIC AS HE IS A RAT THAT WORKS IN THE DARK AND IN PARKING LOTS. NORM REALLY LIKES DOING HIS BEST LEGAL WORK IN PARKING LOTS. RIGHT NORM?

THE BEST WAS TO SEE OUR OWN "CHIEF RAT" MAYOR DAVID SOBEL SHAKING HANDS RIGHT UNDER A GIANT INFLATABLE RAT. TALK ABOUT SYMBOLISM. MAYOR SOBEL MUST HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS A GIANT MIRROR HE WAS LOOKING INTO. RIGHT MAYOR?

Wake up everyone, stop typing on the blog Tuesday nights and try going to the town council meeting if you want to get something done. All you "blow hards" saying you are going to do something? You do nothing, they laugh at you at the meetings. They can do whatever they want, say whatever they want and be friends with whoever they want. Just stay at home and complain to your neighbors about how terrible everything is, I am sure that is going to get things done. I read this blog all the time and read all these people say they are going to do something and you all do nothing! It is funny to read all you commical people rant, who is worse, the mayor who sits up there and lies to are faces or all of you sitting in the darkness of your rooms crying about how you have been done wrong. Boo-hoo, show up and make yourself heard.

F'n relax anonymous council member.

First off F U for the scum you are and the way you fleece the citizens. Did you and your fellow council members read the Independent this week? A little embarrassing as you scumbags tried to blame the town clerk, although she is no stellar employee herself, for the contracts, which you want us to believe were somehow on the desk of a man you rat bastards forced from office because he would not do what Norman "the chief scumbag of Aberdeen" demanded. And the statements from the illustrious Mayor of Aberdeen David "blame anyone but me" Sobel, was all too telling as well. What an idiot to say "if that is what the town clerk tells says that is it" Much like your statement David as to your "close personal friend".

So you snakes want us to come to a meeting? OK then we are coming, just as soon as everyone in Aberdeen learns how much you have screwed us over all of these years and how much it has impacted every taxpayer and their families.

We unlike all of you have a plan and soon ALL OF ABERDEEN will know what you and Norman Kauff have been up to.

For example tonight at dinner a friend of mine brought up this weeks Independent article, she hit the nail on the head when she said, "it seems as if the town council is hiding an awful lot from the taxpayers and Ms. Gallo will be under an awful lot of pressure". NO SHIT!

******NORMAN KAUFF REMINDER******

If Norman Kauff or the council tries to force Gallo out. We will bring a force that they will not believe, upon them. We dare you Norm. Make our day!

During that dinner I immediately corrected her as I told her that the "awful leadership" is hiding a lot from the citizens, Gallo is just scratching the surface.

The leadership all know what they have done. They all know it is very provable (RIGHT NORM?) from many of those who work in town hall. All it takes is to mess with the wrong one, and it is on... Can you imagine what long time employees have seen over the years. All it takes is a few subpoenas and it is on. Right Norm? Just on the shit Corren did alone would have all of them hanging. Right Norm?

So keep being "anonymous" you NORMAN KAUFF lackey. Keep following your orders from Norman all the way to prison. F U !

THE TRUTH IS COMING !

F all of you Norman Kauff scumbags.

Went on a little long in that last input. I had a few JD's tonite. I apologize.

Many thanks to the ONE guy who remembered Aberdeen Day was on my birthday.

Feels great to be loved. :)

Kenny CB, I love the comment that you will do something if Gallo gets removed, just like you did with Stuart Brown? Did you show upo and question anyone? Have another drink and go to sleep, we are sure NOT to see you at the next council meeting.

The last anonymous posting seems to be from a council member. At least now we know they can read, since we know for damn sure they cannot tell the truth.

As for Aberdeen Day celebrating the Aberdeener's Birthday, six people in the Aberdeener's kitchen with a cake would be a bigger crowd than Aberdeen Day usually gets. I

Anybody see Norman Kauff or any of his corrupt faithful at Aberdeen Day? Did CME sponsor anything? I doubt it as they probably had the entire company attending mandatory classes on "advanced methods on stealing from the taxpayer" class given by guest lecturer Norman "Don't steal little STEAL EVERYTHING" Kauff. They may as well learn from a professional and the Norm is the best in the business of stealing. Right Norm?

Wait a minute I forgot Norman could not go to Aberdeen Day as he cannot be seen in public with "the little people" he steals from.

As previously posted Norm does his best work in parking lots. There are plenty of parking lots at Aberdeen Day. Norman could have made a fortune with all of those parking lots to shakedown more contractors, developers, business people and taxpayers.

Better yet they could have solved the financial problems of the state if they had put Norm in the dunking booth.

Maybe next year? Right Norm?

What do you think is Norm a long swim trunk kind of guy or a speedo kind of guy? Only Mrs. Shakedown, I mean Mrs. Kauff knows for sure. That is unless Norm has some side action going on. Right Norm?

F U Norm.

U C is right again. Council people or their minions are posting under ANONYMOUS as the COWARDS that they are, and who are pointing at us as though we are the ones being corrupt liars and unashamedly fleecing the taxpayers of Aberdeen.

First lesson they learn once they are elected is to deny anything and everything and to immediately point at everyone else to deflect blame or attention from ones self.

F everyone of these ANONYMOUS rat bastards who point blame upon all of us.

Go away one weekend and I miss an awful lot. While Cape May was nice it sounds like our corrupt politicians had a busy weekend.

I am very sorry I missed it, especially Mayor Sobel with a GIANT RAT. Talk about a reality for the senses.

By the way the "Mayor must have thought he was looking in a mirror comment" was shear genius also.

Keep typing on the blog and crying about everything. Try going to the town council meeting, we see the same 5-10 people everytime, b c brother's new name is "u wont c brother at any town council meeting" kennycb is now "bet kennycb wont come either" kimsmomshusband is now "my wife wears the panrs". Just stay at home and cry in your JD. Goodnight cry babies.

Anonymous said...

The cry baby comment is just more proof that we are getting to them.

These scum politicians that think we are the problem. Why are we the problem? Do we give millions of dollars to companies whose work is in the least questionable and often nonexistent? It cannot be said that their work is flawless. All you have to do is look at the parking lot to nowhere by the Oakshades fields. Notice how quiet Vinnie has been about that one KennyCB asks? He says Vinnie is probably still in hiding over the intersection to nowhere. Maybe Vinnie got another consulting check from Norm. Ever notice how they coincide with the quarterly taxes being due. We are sure that is just a coincidence? Right Vinnie? Right Norm?

UC here. Anyone hear anything about any meetings for possible development down on County Road? Let me know as I have a big project due soon for work and will be sidetracked. KennyCB will keep an eye out for info anyone may have. Anchor Glass also if anyone hears anything. Thank you in advance for any help.

Kenny just told a good one. He told me I should call my local representative, Councilwoman Gumbs, and ask her about development in my area.

Isn't that a funny one? Call my local representative. That is really funny.

By the way KennyCB says he went to Aberdeen Day and says it was very well run and well attended. He was with his wife and kids so he did not want to make a scene. He also reports that there were a few of the Kauff faithful in attendance.

Must have been payday from CME.
