Aberdeen's Attorney Threatens Police Force

Tonight, Aberdeen's Planning Board voted to recommend two properties be rezoned for inclusionary housing, paving the way for 194 new apartments on County Rd. and Rt. 34. (The council then approved the recommendation.) Over a hundred people attended the meeting.

Here's what Aberdeen Township's Planning Board Attorney, Michael Leckstein, told the public.

SHAME

SHAME

SHAME

SHAME ON ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF THE TOWN COUNCIL AND BOARDS WHO INSULTED EVERY RESIDENT AND TAXPAYER WHO ATTENDED THE JOKE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A PUBLIC MEETING WHERE THE RIGHTS OF THE PUBLIC WERE TO BE HEARD LAST EVENING. THE INTIMIDATION AND DISRESPECT SHOWN LAST NIGHT EXEMPLIFIES THE IMPROPER CONTROL THAT MR. NORMAN KAUFF CORRUPTLY HOLDS OVER EVERY ONE OF THE OFFICIALS PRESENT. THEY ARE HIS LAP DOGS AS WAS SHOWN LAST EVENING.

THE INSULTING AND ARROGANT ATTEMPT AT CONTROLLING LAST NIGHTS MEETING FROM THE START WAS QUICKLY SHOWN BY THE THREATS THAT WERE PROBABLY PLANNED OUT BEFOREHAND BY MR. NORMAN KAUFF. IT WAS OBVIOUS BY THE DAZED LOOK AND THE ORDERED SILENCE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS AND COUNCIL PEOPLE WREAKS OF MR. NORMAN KAUFF AND HIS ABSOLUTE CONTROL.

THE MISTAKES MADE ALONG THE WAY IN THIS PROJECT SUBMISSION AMONG OTHER PROJECTS IN ABERDEEN ARE SADLY TYPICAL. SUCH PROJECTS WHERE VAST AMOUNTS OF MONEY ARE TO BE MADE AND PASSED AROUND TO THE POLITICALLY POWERFUL OR THOSE USED TO INTERRUPT THE PUBLICS RIGHT TO BE HEARD, AS WAS SHOWN LAST NIGHT IS CRIMINAL AND SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY.

AS FOR THE LEGAL EAGLES INVOLVED IN THIS MESS LAST NIGHT YOU CAN BET THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD HANDLE THE CROWDS AND HAVE THE MEETING OVER AND DONE WITH IN AN HOUR.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE LEGAL BILLINGS FOR LAST NIGHTS MEETING. IF THEY WERE PAID LAST NIGHT FOR PROPER AND PRUDENT LEGAL ADVICE THE BILL SHOULD BE ABOUT ($00.49) FORTY NINE CENTS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A DISPLAY OF ELITISM IN MY LIFE. YOU CAN BET MR. NORMAN KAUFF WAS UP LATE LAST NIGHT OVER THIS MEETING PREPARING A COVER UP AND DAMAGE CONTROL FOR THE PRESS THAT WILL BE WRITING ABOUT THIS MEETING. THE 100 OR SO PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE LAST NIGHT SAW POLITICS AND POLITICAL LEADERSHIP AT ITS WORSE. AND THEY PAY FOR IT THAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE INSULTING.

I URGE SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN SUCH MATTERS TO CALL THE MONMOUTH COUNTY PROSECUTORS OFFICE AND THE BAR ASSOCIATION TO PROPERLY AND OFFICIALLY REPORT THE CONDUCT OF THIS MEETINGS PROCEEDINGS AND MOPST IMPORTANTLY THE IMPROPER CONDUCT OF THESE TWO BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY MR. NORMAN KAUFF ATTORNEY'S.

SHAME ON ANY OFFICIAL PRESENT LAST NIGHT. YOU ARE A TRUE DISGRACE TO THE CITIZENS OF THIS FINE COMMUNITY.

The supposed show of strength by the Kauff minions was disgraceful last night. I for one hope that Gartley calls into 101.5 radio tonight when the governor is on and reports and asks him his opinion of the lawyer threatenting to call the police. The lawyer riled up the crowd not Gartley. I hope Gartley reports what happened at last nights meeting to the poeple he knows that can officially judge them. Gartley is the one who should help the people get to the proper people to report this improper conduct. He knows who to call at the county seat and i hope he does first thing this morning. I thanked him last night for standing up and being vocal. Sister Mcleod also did a great job again. I do feel bad for the lady who works for the town as she looked shocked at what was going on also. It was crazy what these hired lawyers to protect the Kauff financial interets think they can get away with. It was dispicable from minute one.

Mayor Fred Tagliarini Q.O.L.? said...

Well Mayor Fred seems to have fallen right into line with the "THAT SIDE OF TOWN" mentality that is so pervasive in our leadership on the Kauff controlled town councils for far too long now. Doubt me? The fomer idiot Aberdeen Mayor Dave "just tell me how to vote Norman" Sobel made several statements (we can all be sure many more statements were made about the other side of town behind closed doors) over the antennas by my J section and more. Remember when the I section residents objected to the antennas and Mayor Sobel appeased them by saying publicly "well just put them in Cliffwood". That was not the only time we saw through Sobel's hood and white sheet persona.

Now I read in the local paper that our new Norman Kauff puppet on a string aka Mayor Fred Tagliarini made a statement recently in the newspaper regarding the residents of Blair Road whose quality of life Mayor Fred Tagliarini said "has been negatively effected long enough". How stupid can he be? These people are complaining about a few cars parked in the street while the County Road residents have to live with an industrial area with heavy truck traffic and much more that also "NEGATIVELY EFFECTS THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE". But Mayor Fred Tagliarini has no problem with 125 low income apartments being squeezed onto County Road because it is in "THAT PART OF TOWN".

Mayor Fred Tagliarini does not have to worry though since he lives on the other "that side of town" where they will not dare put low income housing. Right Mayor Fred tagliarini?

Ask yourself how would Mayor Fred Tagliarini feel if the low income apartments were being built in his area of town. NEVER HAPPEN right Maor fred Tagliarini?

What is worse yet with Mayor Fred Tagliarini is how allegiant he can be to CM&E and the much despised Norman Kauff Esquire? I think from his vote last night and the several different faces he showed us last night during the meeting that Mayor Fred Tagliarini is growing tired of the likes of us "concerned citizens" from "that part of town" who are coming before him and questioning him and the other Kauff cronies who have been given their CM&E and Norman Kauff marching orders. Too bad Mayor Fred Tagliarini you have shown us competely the Kauff control over you and know that it has given us strength and you will be seeing us again. By the way you will never get a vote out of the County Road area of town ever again. Not after the stupid show you and the Kauff cronies gave last night.

What Mayor Fred Tagliarini and the others did last night was disgusting and all too telling of the Norman Kauff controlled leadership. Norman kauff and C.M.E must be stopped at all costs.

Rise up people and tell them that we are Aberdeen. Put an end to Kauff and CM&E.

It's ridiculous that the Planning Board and Council even have to vote for this stuff. I've known Norm Kauff since being his law partner so many years ago - and if he says this is what is best for me, him, you, -- I mean Aberdeen, then it is.

The reality is that no matter how obnoxious and inappropriate any of the "Professionals" are, next year's appointments are drafted already and we'll be reappointed, and we'll make as much money as we always do.

If your beloved Mayor Tag had anything below the waistline, he would say it like it is. This he's a waste -- Let me say F-You Aberdeen.

Came off the bus early today. Went straight to the first aid and voted the school budget down. Then i only voted for Jeff. It is a good day. Then i come home and checked the a'ner and wow it looks like Fred T has felt the pain that comes from giving his heart and soul to the devil of aberdeen. The video was great and that old sod did rile those people up. He knew what he was doing you can be sure. That is what he did to get the board to vote the way they were told all the had to do was listen to the legal expert and endure a couple hours of distrust by the electorate. They were all told how to vote weeks ago as the first meeting concluded. It is cash in time for the Kauff boys of aberdeen. The little envelopes will be filled with all that Cifeli money soon enough. Start planning a nice vacation freddy boy. The price you will pay will take more than your heart and soul. Once Kauff gets his hooks into you it is over and done with. It looked like fred wanted to crawl under the desk at several points as the lawyer was telling the people what he would allow them to do. Some lawyer that guy is huh fred. Fred said at the end of the video that cooler heads will prevail. Too bad none of them were listening to the people who they so negatively affected by their votes at the direction of Kauff. They listen to the devil of aberdeen only and they will be rewarded soon enough.

as someone who is looking at this with a blind eye or clean slate if you will,

WHY? Why would Aberdeen council want this in Aberdeen? What would Aberdeen benefit? Would there be a monetary or money benefit for the town or tax payer?

Simply, why would the council want these low income complexes in our town?

AS IF SO, as stated someone on this blog, that developers CAN, DO, and WILL GIVE MONEY toward the local schools for new students they bring in........

But why???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Mr. Leckstein is appointed by the Planning Board at Mr. Kauff's direction. Bill Shenton, also the Aberdeen Democratic Party Chair, is chair of the Planning Board (appointed w/o salary). Leckstein is also appointed by the Zoning Board as Zoning Board attorney.

The Zoning Board and Planning Board have, in theory, a lawyer that is independent from the Township Attorney (Mr. McCarthy) in the event that there is a conflict between the two parties and to give specialized advice; however, in Aberdeen there is pretty open collusion between the boards, with Mr. Leckstein attending developer negotiations in addition to Mr. McCarthy. That means the township is paying at least three attorneys every time they meet with a developer (McCarthy,Leckstein, and of course Kauff).

Mr. Kauff is his name and collusion is his game.

I'm not surprised in the least.

Grease up the pole and run them out of town on the rail. Better yet tar and feather all of them and then run them out of town on a rail.

They deserve far worse. They deserve to be indicted if they lied. It must still be illegal to lie as a public official to the people who elected you.

"Vote for Demarest":
Leave your anger in the closet. You left President Bush Jr. off the list. If your point is the the system that is used to fund education in NJ is broken, then you are right; but the spewing hatred on both sides of this issue is bullshit.

The real problems:
NJEA that has an economic interest in protecting the current system. (not the teachers, but the NJEA)

Over 500 school districts in the State - how many Superintendents and Assistant, Deputy, and Assistant Deputies do we need?

A political system that allows a powerful union to fund local elections.

School elections that do not occur on a general election day.

A general resistance to change, regardless of whether there is any classroom impact.

School Board members who do not think independently and are in the pocket of well-financed special interests.

We have to work together to protect the interests of our children and stop protecting a system which guarantees promotion without performance, no sharing in benefit costs, a lack of common sense. The more these actions are supported by people, like Demarest, the more people are given a reason to vote no on the budget. People are frustrated, even the people that voted yes, like me, are frustrated.

The system is broken and the Governor is surrounded by the fools who created the problems he was elected to solve. Education costs coupled with Police and Fire are the most costly. All must be addressed equally. All have been too powerful. And all are too costly to sustain and finance.

What would you do if you were the Governor of the State to solve an 11 billion dollar defecit and keep the state running?

Take your time since the critics who are so self protecting have attacked him and called for his death. Don't forget he has been the Governor for about 93 days.

Hear Any Good Lawyer Jokes Lately?

The Union County Watchers has launched a Citizen's Forum, the latest edition of which can be viewed here. In this edition, John Bury, who regularly attends freeholder meetings and writes for NJ Voices, speaks to the issue of the County hiring outside "inside" attorneys in defending lawsuits, as opposed to using the in-house counsel the County already employs.

The questionable attorney hiring practices and the taxpayer funded legal fees got me thinking about Linden's legal eagles. Ed Kologi, John Hudak and Dan McCarthy are politically connected lawyers. To use his own words, Ed is the "overseer". I'm not sure when John Hudak was brought on board, but his hiring must have occurred after he defected from the Linden Coalition for Political Action, n/k/a The Linden Citizen's Association. At some point, the City, in all its wisdom, decided we needed yet another attorney and, apparently, Dan McCarthy fit the bill.

McCarthy doesn't appear at Linden council meetings as far as I know. It's a bit of a mystery what McCarthy does do for Linden, but at a not too long ago council meeting, Ed Kologi assured us that they, the City attorneys, are all a bargain. We do have a sampling of McCarthy's legal skills from daTruthSquad litigation.

daTruthSquad case was one which arose out of another case where the Township of Manalapan was suing its former attorney, Stuart Moskovitz. In the daTruthSquad case, legal eagle Dan McCarthy was convinced that the author of daTruthSquad blog was Da Mosked Man, a/k/a Stu Moskovitz. McCarthy and a merry band of lawyers set out to pierce the identity of the anonymous author of daTruthSquad blog, essentially infringing upon the right of free speech simply on a suspicion that daTruthSquad blogger was Stu Moskovitz, the party Manalapan was suing. The Judge in the case, being well versed on the sacred First Amendment, ruled against McCarthy & his now not so merry band of lawyers.

The malpractice suit that Dan McCarthy was hired as "Special Counsel" ended up being not so special after all. The Township dropped that malpractice suit and, I imagine, their special counsel as well.

A couple of years ago, the Township of Union decided it wanted to redevelop portions of Stuyvesant & Morris Avenues. In order to get their pie-in-sky project going, it would have to use the nasty tool of eminent domain. Eminent domain should not be a tool to take property from its rightful owners on the whims of politicians, but, sadly, it is sometimes.

The first step is to get an expert, or when possible, a non-expert pretending to be one. Pay the expert/non-expert a good fee to conduct a study of the property you wish to take and thereafter submit a report to your liking. In this fashion, you now have the basis to proceed with your eminent domain scheme. If the report doesn't support your position, hide the report and hire another outfit that will write the report the way you want, even if it's inaccurate, false or made up. Of course, you will need attorneys who are also on board with your line of thinking. After all, you pay them to think your way.

The Township of Union, its Planning Board members, its Planning Board attorney, Dan McCarthy, and the Special Redevelopment Counsel learned it doesn't work that way. Here's the very Honorable Judge Barisonek's Opinion on why the Planning Board's determination of the area being in need of redevelopment be vacated. The Opinion is 55 pages long. Besides giving taxpayers and property owners a good look into the sleazy world of eminent domain, the Opinion contains a wealth of information, especially if you sit on a Planning Board or are an elected official who may one day be dealing with an eminent domain issue. As seen in this particulat case, sometimes the advice of an attorney isn't necessarily correct and, in fact, can be outright false.
