Aberdeen 1st asks...
For all of the cynics out there griping about Aberdeen and how bad things are, let's take a look at some facts:
1. The Transit village is moving along at quite a pace. Anyone who has gone by the train station lately can surely notice the progress being made. If you care about being objective and honest, it was an eyesore. It is now on its way to becoming as asset to the town. Does anyone deserve any credit for this happening?
2. The senior housing project has also started taking shape. Again, taking into consideration the amount of bureaucratic red tape that must be dealt with in order to move a project like this along, you have to admit that this looks like another net positive to the town. If they could only deal with the old eyesore across the street from the project, it would really straighten up what is an area desperate for improvement. Does anyone deserve any credit for this happening?
3. The road resurfacing program (a program developed by the democrats from Aberdeen, albeit not any of the CURRENT crop or Democrats, continues to make progress in town. Again, does anyone deserve credit for this?
4. The Beach - Finally there are signs of life that will or should result in the town starting to invest some money in improving the beach. The Republicans have been critical of the Dems for not doing anything of the sort. So, I ask you - Do they now deserve credit for this happening?
Many of these initiatives are time consuming, bureaucratic nightmares. However, once everything has been approved and the sign offs are in place, we see progress right before our own eyes.
If you do not agree with the above, you are not being objective. Aberdeen is a nice place to live. Is it the cheapest place to live? Not by far. Are there better? Absolutely. If you are not happy here, leave! The rest of us will stay and enjoy the progress and hopefully there will be even more to come.

It's time is all I can say about the lack of bipartisan representation in town. Whoever it is whether they be republican or independent it's time. These democrats are spending money like drunken sailors and there's no true benefit other than to their buddies.
Once again the people inside town hall never fail to disappoint me. Why is that you may ask? Well it is simple and it's not the first time either. Earlier this year our area was advised late on a Friday that trees on our property would be removed in regards to our ongoing street improvements. Three days later the trees were cut down unceremoniously. This short notice at that time allowed us to go to the next council meeting where our Mayor said he would meet with the engineers and as is typical of the mayor he said he would look into this and yada yada yada. He's always there after the shit hits the fan obviously and his fake concern is insulting and seems historically so.
Now I just turned on my phone and an update from the town pop ups advising me that the final pick up of leaves is once again to occur in just three days. Is there not one person inside town hall able to give more warning than three days and not inconvenience us residents routinely. What is it with the complete and total lack of advanced warning much less consideration. To simply put say nothing of the obvious last minute notice that is also questionable at its core citing the fact that snow was expected not allowing us to act on getting the leaves raked to the curb in time due to the insulting three day notice. We pay an awful lot of money in taxes so maybe somebody might be able to give a weeks advance notice the next time. What is going on is the big question much less the total lack of advanced warning or preplanning.

I'm an occasional participant on here and I am not a big fan of this site lately or Mr. NsecJ discussed recently. The one former official I talk to said when he was there that NsecJ did do his job well despite the job being always a controversial one. He also said there's got to be some political personalities on a revenge trip with whatever is going on. He also felt this to be true by just looking at the time frame that's been since around May he thinks without resolution or replacement.
His other firm point was that too many other instances have been overlooked for years within the towns operations that didn't have this long a course of action without remedy. Like they say politicians and politics is never really good for those who politicians are supposed to really represent. That might be also the case for the police officer I read about earlier this week. Another true consideration is the fact that you never see supervisory personnel shown the door in such places leaves questions unanswered often.

Forget the holidays that are quickly approaching because something far more damaging and costly is soon to occur again. It's time for the town to advertise for so called professional services once again. It is called the submission of an RFQ. All that really means for all of us paying the freight is the highly questionable and laughingly stated search for professionals. Let us look at the same old exercise in futility (RFQ submissions) that has been the highly flawed politically connected and corrupt search for such services in the past. First up we have the mistake prone overbilling cut and paste corruption covering engineers that we taxpayers know as CME. Then there is the equally costly corrupt and the ever contemptible variables of the accounting firm of Fallon and Fallon who do reviews annually of our town finances while probably led around by the nose or better yet led away by the nose from the financial mismanagement and hanky panky inside town hall. Fallon and Fallon who also just so happened to have offices in the same building as our former town attorney, Granny Pallone and other well placed for maximum corruption in the IEI Plaza n Hazlet that was little more than a den of calculating political thieves. As for Norman Kauff our former town attorney and well known shakedown artist who was the local political power broker and a man who never failed to take or to solicit a bribe ever. Fallon and Fallon and CME among others have been the deeply entrenched and big time contributors to the democrats. These companies and the costly services they provide are like Herpes. I use Herpes as they are the blistering puss filled sores on us taxpayers for decades that allow the do nothing democrats to do nothing at the cost of millions wasted without true accomplishments much less real substantive community progress and restoration of community pride.
That guy needs more than a trip to rehab.
I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to all the democrats won't accomplish next year. You know stuff like approving hurtful developments and needlessly raising our taxes to cover their selfish greed and so costly financial mismanagement. The one thing we should all get tickets to is the current town managers retirement party. Can you imagine the speech our idiot mayor will give this time. I'm sure it will be a close second to the Vinci speech I personally watched that was so full of lies and fakery it was painful to watch. Every word was dripping with bullshit and everyone of us watching that day knew it. And people say nothing good ever goes on in this town.
I must admit the idea about having business closing events in town is true. I have to laugh at that one since it's the truth especially over here with shuttered storefronts like the grocery store and across the street from it. I mean there has not been a picture of the ever smiling mayor with his equally toothy buddy next to him in a long time. Must only be a big campaign time thing to do. I think those two need to go on a road show of comedy like Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. I remember the first time I saw the mayor and his associate and their act up close. It was at the first talent show my granddaughter was in over by the bowling alleys. I also remember the grumbling of people around my seat as those two went on and on in their mutual love of how great they were. It was strange listening to them as though they had anything to do with the show being done other than talking about themselves. I don't even remember them thanking the people involved now that I think of it. I guess it's just typical of those type people. I know I'm hoping to live until the next couple elections since these jokers need to be kicked to the curb.
The corruption and thievery in this town perpetrated only by our politicians is staring us all in the face. The proof is the only things the D's will point to as progress ONLY INVOLVE the spending of our tax money that is on hand and worse yet these grant they keep pointing out that has us indebted way down the road. Far from just for taxpayers in this town are these crooked PILOT deals that rob our students futures politically.

Firstly I am now off for the holidays until Jan 2 2017 and am leaving this town in the morning for warmer climates. As I got home just now from overtime and as I opened my mailbox there it was. Holy shit I said to myself since the towns calendar is in my mail box before the end of the year. I kind of enjoyed the complete idiocy when we got the town calendars in mid February as it showed the obvious lack of uncaring oversight by town administrations.
It has been obvious that such disregard of the towns missions like the town calendar and so much more has been overlooked by the democrat incompetents and their puppet managers so improper;y under their thumbs.
