- From 2012 to 2016, the municipal tax rate increased 17% (Page A-6)
- From 2012 to 2016, municipal spending increased 20% (Page A-7)
- Municipal debt is $26.9 million, 144% of the annual budget (Page A-9)
- From 2012 to 2016, municipal debt service increased 63% to $2.175 million per year and now accounts for 11.6% of the total budget (Page A-7)
Those numbers will worsen as interest rates increase. Now, you know why the township is so gung-ho on development. The money is already spent.

an Aberdeen Economic Business Council supposedly formed to help all of the
towns businesses equally). Our neglected beach areas promised to be improved
that campaigns labeled "The Jewel of Aberdeen". More truthfully our
"Jewel" of a beachfront areas have been ignored (despite 2017 campaign
year "promise of a new Water Park). Over 15 years of photo ops and failed
political promises.
More proof of the past two decades of Democrat only “promises”
to bring our town senior housing and "lower taxes through "smart
development" with constant campaign promises that "this next building
development will finally bring a Main Street to Aberdeen". That Main
Street "promise'' of course never happened for decades. The current
building surge no doubt will also be used in Democrat campaign 2017 literature
as "progress" but it will be very costly "progress" under
the equally questionable and manipulated PILOT Program that strips our Schools
of much needed tax monies from such politically controlled and approved
building projects.
In Aberdeen was the "Oath of Office" so often
taken by our leaders been a citizen betraying "Oath of Abuse of Office?

A man walks into my store wearing a Township of Aberdeen shirt yesterday. I asked him if he works for the town and he says he used to. I asked him who can I call to get the graffiti off the building across the highway. He takes out his phone and gives me a phone number to call. I said is that for someone in town hall? He says no it's for the guy you need to call trust me. I looked puzzled but he said call him he'll tell you what to do.
I called the number and his wife answered and took my number but only after I told her exactly who told me to call. An hour later he calls me and I'm told to call the leasing company on the sign out front by the highway. Just call and tell them of the graffiti and how it isn't good for the town or the sale of the building. That he says usually gets some attention from the agents trying to sell the property. Such companies he says are typically not in the county or close and he the says unless they have to show the property no one keeps an eye on it. I called and left a message so let's see what happens or doesn't happen.

1) Walt Disney went into the area in Florida that he eventually turned into Disneyworld by having countless LLC's come in under various names to buy property that collectively amassed the thousand upon thousands of acres that ultimately became the Disneyworld property. He did this to ensure that residents and property owners would not see his ultimate plan and not allow properties asking prices to increase by using LLC's.
2) Is the new sidewalk snow removal ordinance in town just a tax on old people when summonses are issued and they pay fines.
3) Are the facts that our towns leadership is using PILOT to profit and cover their financially and historic mismanagement of the towns budgets as an avenue to raise home values as a hidden tax increase by using the county assessors that are highly questionable and corrupt so as to not raise taxes, but who use the assessments to do it instead without them being involved?
4) Is the democrats much ballyhooed BID (business improvement district) a way to get favorable treatment and financing for the property owners and developers of Anchor Glass to buy the old A&P and other properties to then turn them into apartments on our dime eventually as they will not pay taxes possibly like the Meinzer project but on a larger scale?
5) Will anyone investigate the actual spending numbers on the play area at the beach and the supposed community center real costs to refurbish that old structure?
Look at your recent assessment and tax bill for the proof of some of the above?

I didn't know your mayor Tagliar is so funny. I say that since I hear he said that all he has is his word as a man. A man? His word? His word as a man is a joke. What a pompous asshole.
There are 3 republican candidates running this November, who want to make a difference. Michael Canberg is running for mayor, and Bill Sullivan and Gus Toomey are running for council seats.
They are not beholden to any special interests, and truly want what is best for the town - the whole town. I have been able to speak with all 3 candidates face to face during this past summer, and there are Facebook pages for both Michael Canberg for Mayor, as well as for the Canberg, Sullivan, Toomey republican ticket.
There will be some upcoming messages regarding platform, and positions on the issues. I personally discussed 3 major issues with candidate Canberg, recently running into him at the county clerk's office:
1. The spray park, for which he had STRONG issues related to water quality compliance, and if the county is aware of the substandard water quality....a lot of interesting points being made by Canberg has me NOT bringing my kids there until I see posted water quality testing, with hourly log books, in line with any other commercial pool operations.
2. The obscene amount of OVERDEVELOPMENT throughout the town limits, as well as spilling over into Matawan....another BIG issue for Canberg....I actually met him at County Clerk's office doing document research on filed site plans for one of the developments in town. He provided me with an EYE-OPENING amount of connect the dots BS that has been going on here since at least 2006...it seems some statements made to Mr. Canberg by certain council members during Canberg's Q&A at the council meeting on Aug 16 may be out and out LIES.
3. Last item he mentioned to me was DEBT....as in, how did the town amass so much debt, what did it get for this money spent, and where is the logical plan to control the runaway expenses that the current administration has obviously squandered.
The other interesting question is asked was "What was Aberdeen's Debt the year Fred won, and how did it escalate during his administration's 16 year run?"
I left there wondering this myself, and went home to look at the towns audited financials online. Sadly, and quite curiously, there are MANY-MANY-MANY missing years of audited financial reports for the town that are simply not posted there.
As both a concerned resident and voter in Aberdeen, I am offering to help this group's campaign. They will be organizing an opportunity to meet some more residents, and are planning to be a presence at Aberdeen Day.
If you see these candidates around town, make a point to stop and say hello....ask them questions, like I did...I got a 75 minute discussion with a man who I am proud to vote for this November, and I hope he wins.
We may just have a chance to hold those who harmed this town accountable for their actions.

Has anyone heard that finally Aberdeen Economic Business Council was going to have a listing of business in Aberdeen? We heard this about a month ago and have been waiting and nothing was published so we figured it was just another story.
Our initial thought was sure it was an election year and since mayor and chairman of council were buddies what better time to put out something that should have been years ago when business council was formed. How many years now is that?
So, we looked on town website to see if such a list exists and we found this:

Starting tomorrow, Sept 1, 2017, NJNG will be in the area for the next month or two (at least) to replace gas meters in all township homes. They are contracted out by Precision Pipeline Solutions. They are contracted to work from 7am-11pm. They will be walking in peoples yards as well as knocking on doors. All contracted workers will have id's on them displayed, as well as uniforms and labeled truck/vans that say Precision Pipeline Solutions. A flyer was/will be put on doors of residents and at least 3 attempts will be made to speak to resident. Contact info for the supervisor is up in dispatch.

Tagalatini and his co-candidates could care less about Aberdeen and Cliffwood because they know they can buy votes by bringing in a billionaire gubernatorial candidate (whose campaign pledge IS TO RAISE TAXES) to speak at a local Cliffwood church, handing out free backpacks to Cliffwood residents, paying for NFL players to show up in Cliffwood, construct a “spray park” at a questionable cost of $2.5 million dollars, etc.
We ask ourselves how could the Native and trinkets ... the explanation is easily seen when you look at how Cliffwood will vote for Tagalarini and his corrupt cronies this November. You reap what you sow Cliffwood. Vote for the Demoncrat candidates again this year in blind loyalty and you get everything you more oppression and neglect until the next election cycle when Fred and his mob will trot out with more trinkets.

Just waked in from work and there it is another get out the vote letter from Mayor Tagliarini paid for by us the taxpayers. I've now read it over twice and can't stop laughing. Why am I laughing? It's simple as it is quite obvious the corruptocrats must be really pissed since I and I am assuming most residents RECIEVED THIS MAILER VERY LATE.
I say that since this mailing is half filled with late advisories pertaining to the Aberdeen Day schedule of events and the Fall Brush Pickup schedule already underway but so late it leaves residents unprepared to clean up their properties and get the material out to the curb for scheduled removal dates in part. On the same side is the insulting to all Backpack Giveaway that provided, in only one small town park area the free backpacks discriminating against 80% of the backpack aged students.
Then there is the announcement that the spraypark that opened very late in the summer and that was plagued with several closings for toxic chlorine spills and more is closed. Then the best and most insulting if not typical idiocy of the current leadership advising us that the brand new bathroom buildings will not be open until next summer when the spraypark opens again next June 2018. After only being available for two weeks that to me was for questionable reasons with flawed excuses from our embarsssed leadership. Another gem is that the mailer has a statement thanking residents for suggestions on making the park better. Making the park better? Did I read that right? Did we not pay big money to a designer and inspectors or engineers on this $2.5 million dollar project, a project that is not a stellar accomplishment nor does it show our towns leadership and management in a good light for the spraypark.
On the same side is a letter from our mayor and council with the outright lie that "their goal is to keep you in the know". Their what? Keep us in the know my ass. Is that why they refuse to use Ch. 15 to broadcast council meetings and all meetings in town hall so we can be informed? Is that why council agendas and minutes are hidden and many months delayed? More political vote seeking lies is all this rag is.
Finally the bullshit announcement that our mayor and council "adopts new budget with no municipal tax increase" is stretching the truth to say the least. Then the mayor and council had the nerve to list how the taxes breakdown in a lie titled "where my tax dollars go". I cannot even begin to try and explain those lies and half truths that are to get votes. It's all a lie it's as simple as that and I know that for one good reason. The democrats have never done an independent efficiency study to treat our tax money like it was their own money.
