Four New Jersey men were charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on April 27, said a State Police spokesman.
At about 10:15 a.m., State Police stopped a BMW that was speeding on Route 78 in the area of milepost 6.6, said Sgt. Adam Grossman.
State Police approached the vehicle and could smell marijuana, Grossman said. Marijuana was found in the vehicle and the occupants were arrested and taken to the Perryville station, where they were charged with possession of marijuana.
James DeMatto, 30, of Freehold; William Mcguinn, 29, of Matawan; Gregory Cannon, 29, of Aberdeen; and Justin Deleo, 31, of Secaucus were all charged.

On the last posting subject a late posting shows that our just today disclosed pothead councilman greg cannon is now the attorney way over in Hamilton. I fish out that way so I wonder if Hamilton did a background check before hiring him. At least it is close to trenton so he can score some fine buds after work.
It's not Hamilton it's Allentown that supposedly hired our local Aberdeen version of New Jerseys weed man. Looks like our not so boy wonder might be taken out to the woodshed and have his pants pulled down and get democratically spanked. I can't believe what I just read. I've read the postings on this site for a long time, but I've never posted here. Can anyone help me? My daughter recently was busted for pot in Aberdeen - the prosecutor wouldn't cut her a break "the law is the law" he said. How can a man that was arrested for pot be the prosecutor. After a few minutes pondering who would write on here anonymously supporting Cannon and claim he that he has done an excellent job is I think one of the kiss ass employees in the municipal building that Cannon may oversee. As for the towns legal appointee also being arrested that is no less troubling and as pointed out by anonymous at 8:18 may have many valid points on who as stated "the law is the law" I guess unless you broke the law yourself and are just another one for who the law does not apply. This is getting good is all I can say so stay tuned as I am sure there's more to come from within the cesspool that is the government ruling class in Aberdeen. I will step back and watch this unfold as I have said more today than the last month and want to see what others have to say or what the town may do to cover themselves.

Had to work today and no one else was there so I watched the cheech and chong doper movies. I'm just wondering which of our doper public servants is cheech and which one is chong. The best snip today was the scene where they get pulled over by a cycle cop who gets stoned off the smoke from the marijuana van catching fire he's riding behind. The cop gets so stoned that he forgets why he pulled them over and then finishes their food because he's so stoned. I guess the car that our cheech and chong dopers were pulled over in wasn't made of dope since it only had a couple of dopes riding inside.
This things seems to be no big deal from a couple responses on here except I think it says a great deal of the total lack of honesty of our local version of cheech and chong. Not like we should be waiting for Mayor Tag-liar-weenie is going to think it's any big deal. I mean when you're wasting millions of dollars on developments that are not going to ever get built a councilman and a prosecutor being arrested for drugs is no big deal to our idiot democrats.
Litte bit funny is right nothing the democrats say they are going to do really gets done. Empty promises from the democrats for so many years may have worked to keep them in office with the uninformed voter types the reality is it's cost us all dearly.

You Aberdeener people need to realize this thing involving the towns prosecutor is very serious and the town should be getting out ahead of this and not be hiding from it. The fact that a member of the law enforcement community in town has something like this in their past can be very problematic. One major point is the fact that while not convicted of the drug possession the arrest of William M. still leaves much to be desired for the possibility of many appeals by anyone and I mean anyone convicted of a drug offense since his appointment to the position of prosecutor. As for the councilman this from well known legal entanglements he has been associated with some going back years screams for his expulsion even prior to this little gem. The two of these men should do the right thing and resign their positions. In Aberdeen that is not the norm as you all know. I just put my opinion out there having worked in Aberdeen and knowing how things really work. It is never as it seems I can assure. That for me is very true having cut my teeth under the former manager Mark Coren who was masterful at governmental budget manipulation much less the allowing of abuse of employees and residents equally. I hear that this is not the first time Councilman Cannon was caught with the weed. Heard he was arrested in Old Bridge several years ago, and was stopped in Matawan with the weed. The Matawan stop quietly disappeared since his Dad was on the Matawan Council. And his brother is a police officer with the Port Authority at Newark Airport. And Dad worked and is now retired from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority where he held a dispatcher position, which means he was friendly with the State Police. Comes in handy when there is trouble.
