AberdeenRecycles.com

As I prepare for service on our local school board, here’s a little website I hope many of you will appreciate.

For those of us who can’t remember which Wednesday of the month it is (or which day of the week it is, for that matter), I’ve developed a site to help us comply with the township’s recycling regulations – www.AberdeenRecycles.com.

The site is very simplistic (as you can tell by the all text design). Mark when your regular garbage is picked up, submit your email address, and you will receive an email reminder on the Friday and Monday immediately prior to your recyclables pickup. The email reminder will also tell you whether the pickup is for paper or glass, cans, and plastic.

The site is completely free and you can remove or edit your info by simply mailing me at Aberdeener@gmail.com.

Please feel free to share any feedback or tips on how to improve the site. If anyone would like to submit any designs, that would be most welcome as well.

In the near future, I’ll be posing questions to the community as an open brainstorming session. There’s a lot to be done and the school board will need all the help it can get.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy AberdeenRecycles.com.

Does anyone know what this ordinance is about? It was on the last council agenda but I don't think it was voted on. Are they voting themselves a raise or what?

D. ORDINANCE NO. 7-2009 – PUBLIC HEARING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ABERDEEN, ARTICLE I, THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL, SECTION 2-2.5, COMPENSATION OF COUNCIL MEMBERS, OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ABERDEEN IN THE COUNTY OF MONMOUTH, NEW JERSEY

Anonymous said...

every year they raise thier pay.

Ironically they keep thier pay almost exactly the same as property taxes ie if Taxes go up $300 to $8700 then they increase thier pay to $8700. In effect they do not pay property taxes

Anonymous said...

Perhaps it is to take a pay cut or become volunteers like the school board.

Aberdeener said...

Here's the ordinance you're referencing. It requires that all council members' compensations be voted upon as a separate matter.

Anonymous said...

The ordinance actually seems like the right thing to do. Council should be commended if they pass it. How did this get on the agenda and why wasn't it voted on this week? Anyone know?

We all need to remember and pass the word that we all must recycle cardboard as well.

Anonymous said...

Yes I saw my neighbors recycling their big and small cardboard boxes. It is amazing how much we can recycle if we put our minds to it. We get so many things made of paper that we can reuse.

I thank the Aberdeener for his gree recycling post.

What we all need to do this election year is to recycle our local politicians. The old democrats have embarrassed my party enough. It is time to send a strong message that our community is tired of the usual politicians and greediness of their bosses.

GRIP

G Get
R Rid
of
I Incumbent
P Politicians

If that is not enough just vote for the party that does not have the majority. Mix it up and let them at least fight each other while representing both political parties voters. That is the fair thing to do also.

Anonymous said...

I agree with anonymous above. The democrats have been in power too long and I am a democrat. All the stuff on this site about our Mr. Kauff is taking its toll. If the republicans are smart they will first publicize and attack Kauff for all the stuff posted on here while highlighting the councils silence and allegiances. This Kauff info our present council is so hesitant to discuss or acknowledge the truth about. Go to a council meeting republican candidates and ask if any of them know anything about a shakedown. Let them all deny it and then keep going. Never stop asking questions. It is just a shame that the newspapers are so disinterested in our local corruption and shakedowns. That is why newspapers all over the country are folding. Too bad I say.

Anonymous said...

I heard that was Kauff on the grassy knoll in Dallas too. I also heard it was Kauff who ordered the hit on Paul Castellano in 1985. Rumor has it (if you read this site) That Kauff is like Boss Hogg(albeit a jewish lawyer JD Hogg) in Aberdeen. And that he passes out some sort of Kool Aid (ala Jim Jones) that makes his followers do whatever he says. This guy sure sounds dangerous.LOL

Anonymous said...

Your getting it finally.

Kauff is NO F'N good and if the democratic candidates do not distance themselves from Kauff and his money, they will get what they deserve.

Kauff denies nothing as posted here repeatedly. Like it or not that says all I and many others need. The anonymous defender before me earned his little morsel that Kauff will bestow on anonymous like a good little soldier. Just take your time anonymous, don't swallow it whole, take your time and really enjoy it. It may be one of the last treats you get. Unless of course you get a county Job from Kauff.

You see the gravy train may soon come to an end for all of the Kauff bottom-feeders.

Anonymous said...

By the way I hear donations are being accepted to mark the exact spot in the parking lot where Kauff committed his crime. I hear a life size statue of Kauff with his hand out with an envelope in his hand is the front runner for the statue consideration committee. Put me in for a fifty dollar donation. Make it something really nice for the birds to crap on.

It's true

It's true

All Kauff' people know it true

They all just deny, deny, deny

They all just deny, deny, deny

As if we all just seem to lie

Unlike them we know truth you see

Unlike them we know truth you see

So when Kauff is gone

So when Kauff is gone

So when kauff is gone

Then all will see

The truth we see

When Kauff is gone

The truth we see

With so much glee

We were right all of us, each one
they soon will see

For we know the Kauff faithful time and time again will see
when soon Kauff will be gone
mercy, mercy me.

What happened anonymous? Did Kauff not give your treat for being a good Kauff supporter. F all of you and your Norman kauff as well. Blind allegiance will not be a good defense in court for all of you Kauffsters suck ups and job recipients.

Maybe Norman can recommend a good lawyer? Wait he will probably keep that one for himself. Many of you will respond to me that a sweep arresting Kauff and his henchmen is never going to happen. All of you just keep thinking that right up until you hear that knock on the door and see those Crown Vics outside your house.

Talk about a picture perfect moment. I'd love to see all of your faces as you look through the peep holes in your front doors and see those men and hear them say.

Heeeeeeres Jooooohhhhhnnnnnny !

Johnny law that is.

F U all you low life thieving scum.

Are we forgetting that this post by Aberdeener is about recycling paper, bottles and plastic..?

I am all for ousting any crooked politician in local, county or state government but I don't think it is what the Aberdeener meant when he posted.

Anonymous said...

The recycling center is open every Saturday and has been for the past several months.

Anonymous said...

Once again, as the Aberdeener himself has stated, time and time again, there is absolutely no evidence of any shakedown or crime ever being committed in the parking lot.

Unless you are calling the Aberdeener a lier, you all need to stop making up stories.

Talk about real corruption, not made up fairytales.

Anonymous said...

Many know it happened and only a few do not think it did. That would be Norman and the Norman faithful.

IT HAPPENED AND YOUR TOWN LEADERSHIP KNOWS. EVERYONE OF THEM KNOWS IT HAPPENED. NEXT!

F. N. K. Next!

They also know this year he is a major liability. Next! Money will not solve the problems for the dems this year. Norman is their biggest problem and they know it. Next!

Anonymous said...

I wholeheartedly agree that this subject about recycling is most important.

Perhaps the Aberdeener can alter his site to include a "heard around Aberdeen" posting area that will allow posts concerning the most serious subject affecting all of Aberdeen. That is of course money, high taxes and Norman Kauff. Money that when it comes to mentioning Kauff' name always goes hand in hand. Or in Kauff' case it always goes hand into Kauff' pocket.

Such an area as "heard around Aberdeen" on the blog could allow people to put in what they have heard or discovered lately without disturbing the topic up for discussion. With the upcoming elections for school board and the council majority is hanging in the balance it may be a good idea. Kauff does not want the public reminded of his misdeeds and all of his lackeys blind allegiances and their considerable costs to the taxpayers becoming public. You see an informed and knowledgable public is not Kauff and democrat election friendly.

They did not count on the Aberdeener being a major player did they? The Aberdeener will soon play a major role in keeping Kauff and his crimes in the public eye. We must make the dems work really hard, and earn their win, this time. Eyes and ears of every voter on Kauff, is the key to stopping his corruption and costly give-aways to his "close personal friends' Mayor D. Sobel 2008. Right Normy?

For instance the meeting this Wednesday 3-11-09 will continue the very questioning and concerned public portion regarding the Ciffelli or for that which is their front company known publicly as RMC, that is facing some righteous and vocal opposition from many of our Cliffwood residents. Cliffwood has grown so tired of being a dumping ground for Aberdeen. Isn't that right Mayor "if the I section residents are complaining then just put the cell tower in Cliffwood" Sobel?

I still cannot believe he said that one publicly. That was almost as stupid as the one about the houses Ciagla was allowed to build by the high school when Mayor Sobel said "we would not want to take food out of the mouths of Mr. Ciaglas children". That embarrassing mayoral statement was in regards to a variance approval that was the work of Kauff and Sobel when they were giving everything the Ciaglas asked for, once again. No wonder why Mayor Sobel may not run this year.

Can anyone spell county job boys and girls?

Think about it Aberdeener.com.

Just a suggestion.

Anonymous said...

You people are very entertaining. Your conspiracy theories give Tom Clancy a run for his money. Either Kauff is the crimeboss of the century, or some of the posters here are delusional. My money is on delusional.

Anonymous said...

OK genius. Where are the Kauff denials then? He knows THE TRUTH.

Kauff is Aberdeen.

Figure it out.

We did.

Anonymous said...

OK, here are my two cents, I think the town can do much better, Sobel, etc. The schools can do much better, but just because Kauff or Sobel don't come on here and defend themselves doesn't make them quilty of everything you people claim they are doing. I to believe something seems shady or aren;t right, but how many of you show up to the town council meetings or BOE meetings to complain? Does that make you all just as quilty for sitting at home and doing nothing about it? Get off your butts and be heard, whinning on this blog doesn't count. Make yourself heard, by the town council, the BOE, the media that on rare occasion attends and others who may be there. I think this is a great blog for information and the Aberdeener does a great job at bringing things into the light, keep up the good work.

Anonymous said...

you are jealous of Kauff because he controls his people effectively, and your guys shit the bed when they were in charge..that's THE TRUTH it doesn't take a genius to figure that out,but thanks anyway for the compliment.

Anonymous said...

Your right Genius Kauff does control his people effectively.

He controls:

The council
The zoning and planning Board
The town lawyers
The town engineers
The town manager
The democratic party
Some school board members
The developers who hope to build
The ...

Get it yet? Think about how much money that is from the taxpayers. Monies in the tens of millions controlled by a man who is unelected, unaccountable and for the moment un-indicted.

One more thing that Kauff and his defenders know. They all know what is posted on here is, wait for it, it is THE TRUTH. And best of all
Kauff knows he cannot deny that which is THE TRUTH. They all know it, every Kauff defender and recipient of his ill gotten gains. They know we know THE TRUTH.

Oh I almost forgot. Norman Kauff also controls the SHAKEDOWN OF DEVELOPERS IN THE PARKING LOT CONCESSION IN ABERDEEN.

Save yourself the embarrassment. Do not respond as you are grossly ineffective as a liar for Kauff.

Anonymous said...

Aberdeener,
Have you heard anything about next year's school budget? Has anything been said yet about where they might want to put extra money, or for what?
Do you know if it is possible to reallocate money in the current budget, to put more $$$ into programs that directly benefit the children, without increasing the budget?

Aberdeener said...

There's not much wiggle room for the current year but you can see next year's budget highlights in tomorrow night's agenda. Bear in mind, we still don't have final numbers from the state.

Anonymous said...

Give me a break - those of you who keep asking for documented evidence againt Kauff and cronies. The Aberdeener is not a judge or a prosecuter and posters are not defense attorneys. The US Attorney will prosecute the case and an attorney better than Mark Schram (aBerdeen's public defender) will defend the rancid Kauff. So stop acting like you are anything more than a a Norman Kauff beneficiery. Maybe Fred Tagliarini trying to self-justify using dirty campaign funds. Some people have no self-respect.

Anonymous said...

Blah blah blah THE TRUTH blah blah blah blah blah shakedown blah blah blah Kauff did it blah blah blah THE TRUTH is that you have no evidence of a shakedown. That my friend, is THE TRUTH

Anonymous said...

Its funny how the discussions on the Aberdeener sites degrade into nonsense, even on a site dealing with a simply subject like recycling. Oye!

Anonymous said...

I agree with the previous Anonymous poster that the Aberdeener isn't a judge and the many anonymous posters on here (of which I am one) are not the defense attorneys.

I do however put a lot of faith in what the Aberdeener says. The Aberdeener says the parking lot shakedown likely didn't happen. So to me, that means it likely didn't happen.

If the Aberdeener says it didn't happen, I'll believe him. That means unless the TRUTH can prove otherwise, then the TRUTH is nothing but a dirty lier.

Anonymous said...

I was away this weekend but I for one believe the truth when it comes to Mr. Kauff. The last post from the truth puts it out there exactly like it is. An unelected man runs our town and people need to know. The costs and patronage hurt all of us and that is the truth.

Anonymous said...

I too agree with the person who is the truth. It is far simpler in this state to believe some anonymous or semi-anonymous posting, then to believe anything a politician or political defender says.

I for one think the shakedown happened. No denial from Atty. Kauff has come even after all of the information and allegations were posted on here. Denials from his underlings do not count in my book. When WWW.KAUFF.COM comes out publicly or denies it on the record at a council meeting or the question is asked of every council member if a shakedown occurred and they all deny knowing anything about a shakedown, then I will not believe what the truth says. Until then the truth rules the day.

If this blog and its posters are so insignificant what is all the fuss? I mean unless the truth and his allegation of a parking lot shakedown in fact did happen and they all know it is in fact a truth that they cannot deny on the record.

That is then my faith in the truth.

Anonymous said...

Not only is the Aberdeener not a Judge; but he never said the parking lot incident didn't happen. He said that he hasn't seen any proof. The proof is truly know to two people, Mr. Kauff and the developer, and the circumstantial evidence is significant.

Why does one lawyer, who Kauff has a longterm relationship with, Weiner-Lesniak, represent clients in Aberdeen when they don't use the firm elsewhere? Why does Kauff have personal relationships with the township attorney, client attorney, engineer, with anyone that wants to do business with the town.

The only defense provided is a blanket "stick-your-head-in-the-sand approach" if you were not in the parking lot. Kauff is surrounded by too much filth to be clean. Those that are now soaking up the smell, like Fred Tagliarini, seem to be looking for a way to keep their conscience clean by claiming ignorance.

Anonymous said...

The Aberdeener says he has never seen proof Weiner-Lesniak does any business in Aberdeen. Can someone please provide proof of this?

Again, we say a lot of things on this blog, but only the Aberdeener ever provides proof. If someone has proof Weiner-Lesniak does business in Aberdeen, let's see it already!

Anonymous said...

A previous anonymous poster accused Norman Kauff of killing JFK. To the best of my knowledge, Norman Kauff has never denied the charge. Additionally, despite the charge having been made, the township council has never publicly issued a statement refuting it.

I've asked the Aberdeener about this and he tells me that he has never seen any evidence Norman Kauff killed JFK. However, while he has never seen any evidence to prove it, he also does not have any evidence to prove he didn't.

Obviously, if neither Norman or the Council have denied that Norman killed JFK, then it must be true.

I rest my case. Norman, we know you killed JFK. Justice will reach you one day.

Anonymous said...

What is the circumstantial evidence that the parking lot shakedown took place? I have yet to see or hear anything. In fact, depending on who is telling the story, the story keeps changing.

On this blog I've seen everything from the developer (who has never been named) giving into the shakedown and paying Norman off to the developer telling Norman to go screw himself and loosing his right to develop.

So which is it? Did the developer cave or not? Both versions can not be true, but yet both are routinely stated on this page.

This rumor is so damn flimsy that it defies logic.

Would it makes sense to cut the "regular" garbage pickup to one per week in lieu of twice per week? Just thinking of little things that may make a difference.

Aberdeener said...

I believe the Shady Tree Advisory Board made that recommendation. I believe it would help but we'd have to first survey the residents to see if they'd want to limit regular garbage pickup to once a week.

Personally, my biggest issues are the storing and bundling of recyclables. I wonder if the township would be willing to sell us recycling bins that we could leave curbside for pickup. That would certainly make my life easier.

Anonymous said...

I have to laugh at the Aberdeener's sense of humor. In the midst of all this Norman nonsense, a question gets asked about recycling and he answers as to that question only, avoiding all the Norman trash completely (pun intended)

I love you Aberdeener, keep up the great work.

2. Somerset, Anchor Glass Developer

But, you can also deny the facts and keep your head in the sand. By the way, Kauff had a professional relationship with that firm at one point.

12/21/2005 GOP calls on Dems to return contribution
Pay-to-play accusations surface over train station development once again
BY TOM CAIAZZA
Staff Writer

ABERDEEN — Republican Municipal Chairman Michael Borg has accused the Aberdeen Democrats of pay-to-play activities by indirectly accepting a 2001 campaign donation from the company chosen by Aberdeen to redevelop the train station.

Dean Development Co. Inc., a Monroe Township development firm linked to Silver Oak Properties, donated $5,000 to the Monmouth County Democrats. William Bocra is the president of both companies. The same amount was then donated to the Aberdeen Township Democratic campaign fund for 2001 less than two weeks later

WHERE IS THE PROOF? Just because you say this doesn't make it true. If you have legal bills evidencing meetings between Aberdeen and Weiner-Lesniak, then give them to the Aberdeener and let him post them.

The Aberdeener says he has never seen proof of Weiner-Lesniak doing any business in Aberdeen. Until the Aberdeener posts otherwise here, I certainly am not going to listen to a bunch of anonymous posters.

If you have the evidence it will be easy to send to the Aberdeener. Mail it to him anonymously if you are nervous about revealing your identity.

Otherwise, you should all just shut up and deal with the facts. I'm tired of hearing unsubstantiated rumors on this page. You people are hurting your own cause.

I LOVE IT! KEEP IT UP EVERYONE!

THANK GOD FOR THE ABERDEENER SITE.

YOU NEED TO KNOW IT IS WORKING NO MATTER WHAT THE KAUFF FAITHFUL HAVE TO SAY AGAINST ANY OF US. IT IS REALLY BOTHERING THE KAUFFITES YOU CAN TELL. BEST OF ALL THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. THEY NEED THE MONEY BUT THEY KNOW THE KAUFF DAMAGE IS COMING AND THEY MUST MAKE THE TOUGH CHOICE. TAINTED MONIES FOR A CAMPAIGN FROM KAUFF OR NOT. DECISIONS DECISIONS!

NORMAN KAUFF HAS BEEN WORKING AND STEALING UNDER THE RADAR FOR YEARS. HIS DAMAGE TO ABERDEEN AND ITS FINANCES AND OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT TAXES HAS BEEN A DIRTY LITTLE SECRET. BUT NOT ANY LONGER NORMAN. THE SECRET IS OUT NORMY.

SURE THERE ARE A FEW KAUFF DEFENDERS WHO SAY WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. ARE WE ASKING FOR SO MUCH? I MEAN COME ON ALL WE WANT IS AN OFFICIAL DENIAL FROM KAUFF OR THE COUNCIL THAT HE CONTROLS? WHERE WILL THE OFFICIAL DENIAL COME FROM AS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK? WHAT ABOUT THE MONIES NORMAN AND HIS CRONIES HAVE COST THE TAXPAYERS ALL OF THESE YEARS, AS WELL AS THE DAMAGE IT HAS DONE TO PEOPLES FINANCES. HOW WILL THE CANDIDATES EXPLAIN THAT TO PEOPLE TRYING TO HOLD ONTO THEIR HOMES?

HOW CAN ANY DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES ACCEPT ANY KAUFF MONEY FOR THIS YEARS ELECTIONS WITHOUT BEING GUILTY OF BEING BEHOLDING TO KAUFF AND HIS CLOSE PERSONAL FRIENDS? THEY HAVE BLED THIS TOWN DRY.

WHAT WILL THE CANDIDATES DO AS THE VOTERS LEARN MORE EACH WEEK ABOUT KAUFF AND HIS CLOSE PERSONAL FRIENDS ALONG WITH THE VERY REAL COSTS OF KAUFF ALLOWING DEVELOPERS FREE REIGN FOR YEARS. APPROVALS FOR CONSTRUCTION WERE EASY AS LONG AS NORMAN GOT HIS PIECE OF THE PIE. WHAT ABOUT THE THE NUMBERS OF STUDENTS THAT CAME INTO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM FROM THOSE KAUFF APPROVED HOMES AT $13,000.00 PER STUDENT?

THINK LONG AND HARD CANDIDATES BEFORE YOU MAKE THAT PACT WITH THE DEVIL OF ABERDEEN. KAUFF AT YOUR OWN RISK.

DONT SELL NORMAN SHORT

The last year of Minutolo council career he said:

Spring of 2007 newletter
MINUTOLO adds: “WE have also been
working hard to minimize the impact of such budget items as state-mandated pension increases through efforts to control expenses in other areas. For
example, WE have kept employee
health care costs in check through
aggressive oversight of our selfinsured plan along with proactiveefforts to improve employee risk factors.

By now Minutolo is off the ticket

Summer 2007 newletter
Meanwhile,in the Freneau
section, the county completed work in June on the replacement of the Wilson Avenue bridge spanning Matawan Brook. The new 30-footwidebridge,which links Aberdeen to Marlboro, is 12
feet wider than the structure it
replaced. “THE ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP
COUNCIL had advocated for an extensive period of time to replace this bridge with one that is safe for cars, bicyclists and pedestrians. WE ARE PLEASE
pleased to see that this project has been completed,” said COUNCILMAN NICK MINUTOLO

Now Minutolo is Republican Chair But the republicans are in debt and don't have any candidates.

Every see minutolo speak up at a town meeting these days - NOT

Maybe Norman has covered all bets with his boy Minutolo fooling people to make him republican chair.

NORMAN evil but not stupid

KAUFF IS SADLY MASTERFUL.

KAUFF IS ALSO SADLY CROOKED, CORRUPT, PARASITICAL, VENGEFUL, DEVIOUS, SADISTIC, UNYIELDING, UNREPENTANT AND UNFORTUNATELY AS YET, UN-INDICTED. SOME THINGS THAT ARE WORTH WAITING FOR DO TAKE TIME.

AS FOR THE ABERDEENER NOT STATING PUBLICLY THAT KAUFF DID SHAKEDOWN A DEVELOPER IN A PARKING LOT. ON THAT FACT ANONYMOUS IS RIGHT. THE ABERDEENER HAS NO FIRSTHAND KNOWLEDGE OF THAT EVENT. B-U-T KAUFF KNOWS THAT IT HAPPENED. OUR COUNCIL PEOPLE KNOW THAT IT HAPPENED. NORMAN KNOWS THAT IT HAPPENED. AND THE DEVELOPER KNOWS THAT IT HAPPENED. ONLY THE POLITICALLY INEPT AND THE KAUFF FAITHFUL DENY IT ON KAUFFS BEHALF.

SO KEEP DENYING IT ANONYMOUS. I WILL WAIT FOR THE DENIAL THAT WILL NEVER COME FROM NORMAN KAUFF OR THOSE HE CONTROLS ON THE COUNCIL.

WHEN THAT DENIAL DOES NOT COME, EVERY VOTER NEEDS TO ASK THEMSELVES ONE VERY SIMPLE QUESTION.

WHY DID NOT ONE PERSON COME OUT PUBLICLY AND DENY THAT, EVER.
RIGHT, WRONG OR INDIFFERENT IT HAPPENED. THEY ALL KNOW IT.

AFTER ALL AS HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE IT IS THE FIRST POLITICAL LESSON POLITICIANS ANYWHERE LEARN. SIMPLY DENY, DENY, DENY. THIS IS NEW JERSEY PEOPLE DENIAL IS EVERYTHING!

KAUFF IS THE DEMOCRATS LIABILITY.
THAT IS T-H-E DEMOCRATIC T-R-U-T-H.

Once again the truth who makes such claims against Kauff must be on the inside or was on the inside to hold such contempt for Kauff. Don't get me wrong I think the claims are true and am very afraid that there is much more yet to be divulged of the damage he has done. The subject of Norman Kauff and his corrupt antics along with his friends is not nearly over.

I for one am consumed with figuring out who the truth really is. I have thought long and hard on it and think it is time to make my guess public.

I think that the truth is none other then former Aberdeen Councilman John Gartly. I mean who else would despise Kauff so vehemently? Then again I am sure that list is long and for good reason. My guess is still Gartly.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't Gartley be too savy to use all caps in his posts?

Anonymous said...

Why would someone defend Kauff because with mistated facts and a refusal to see the obvious?

My guess is to protect their own conscience because they use his money to run for council and think it's clean because they don't ask questions.

Stop asking for truth and just ask for the answers you obviously don't want to hear.

I just got back from the meeting and I am glad to see that Gambino, O'Connell, Donaghue, and Kenny are all racist and sexiest. I see there was a clearly devoted member of the community seeking a way to get a voice in the community and the racist members of the school board voted it down. I am sure when Aberdeener gets put on the board next month we will have another white male in Ken Aitken being placed back on the board again. I only assume that a man who lost the school board election last year is going to be placed back on the board by a majority that the community clearly doesn't want. Thank you.

Anonymous said...

I was not there. I am also just asking. BUT, why are those men racist if they did not vote a certain way?

Who would you want on? I heard of the candidate. What are her qualifications?

Racist and sexist are VERY strong accusations....

A female black minister who is a long time member of the community deeply rooted in the Cliffwood beach section of the community. Good thing the racist race of Gambino showed up.

Anonymous said...

Could it get any simpler. First off it is Werner - Lesniak. Secondly the fact that most development applications in this democratic town go through Kauff and his friends who will give back to Kauff.

Or do you just think it is a coincidence that a very powerful state politicians law firm gets most of the work? It is one thing to be a legal representative, it is a totally different animal to be the corrupt animal that demands what law firm gets used or else.

I agree I think it is Gartley too.

Why is it that John Barbato is never called a racist, he was against the M.O.S.T. program and conveniently avoided the meeting when it was being voted on. How about the time John Barbato voted against the class for ESL parents to learn how to speak english. How come no one called JOHN BARBATO a RACIST? Riddle me this?

Aberdeener said...

Due to the Purim holiday, I was not in attendance at tonight's BOE meeting. However, my understanding is that nobody will be selected to fill the vacant BOE seat until after the school board election.

In lieu of tonights allegations, some might say that if a crime by a person of color is committed against a white person, it is a crime.

Others say if a white person commits a crime against a person of color, it is racism.

I was not at the meeting tonight and I think it must have been contentious, to say the least. I will view it for myself and decide. I will also say that the two previous posts on the meeting must have either come from someone so disturbed at the events they witnessed tonight or they have a personal agenda or want to fan the flames right from the start. Either way I will wait and see the broadcast for myself.

I suggest we all do that to be fair. The allegation seem to be merely be stirring things up unfairly.

And John, who do think you are kidding???SHAME ON YOU MORE!! You who votes no to providing a grant funded English class to ESL parents because they should have to pay for it themselves if they need to learn English to help their kids with homework--remember saying that? I remember. Staying away from the BOE meeting when the MOST program was voted on so you didn't have to say no in public, but you had no problem saying you were against it in the COW meeting two weeks before, saying no to adding a Spanish menu at Cliffwood so kids could read what was for lunch because they should learn English, active;y trying to get Officer Darrell removed from the High School because "you didn't think the Board got what it paid for" with him...I could keep going but why bother you and your minions will spin this one good as usual.

And Marty, how good did you feel tonight? noticed you hung your head pretty low and we could barely hear your yes vote...guess being their errand boy isn't as nice as you thought it would be huh, SHAME ON YOU TOO!!!
So much for moving on and breaking from the past, Aberdeener..these people know no boundaries for disgusting behavior.

Let's try this again, there is absolutely no evidence of Werner - Lesniak doing any work in Aberdeen.

The Aberdeener says there is no evidence of Werner-Lesniak ever doing work in Aberdeen.

According to everyone on this blog, Werner-Lesniak represents all of the developers in town. Despite this, they certainly do not represent the only developer currently with an application before the town RCM. The attorney representing them is Giorando, Halleren and Ciesla.

I find it very hard to believe that Werner - Lesniak could possibly represent every developer in town, yet someone who has actually done investigation into the workings of the township, such as the Aberdeener, has never seen proof of it.

How is it possible that a law firm represents every developer in town, yet somehow no one but a few anonymous bloggers know about it?

How? BECAUSE ITS MADE UP!

You people are insane.

If Werner - Lesniak represented every developer in town, it would be public record and everyone would know about it, especially the Aberdeener.

Not every developer in town. Just the ones that Kauff handpicks or is under political obligation to bring into his corrupt web of deceit at tax payer inflated prices.

Oh what a tangled web he weaves when first he is doubted to have deceived.

Keep doubting his corruption and the millions it costs us all. That is what he and those like him count on.

I have a question -

If only Kauff approved developers use Werner - Lesniak - and RCM isn't using Werner - Lesniak, does that mean I don't have to worry about the RCM project being approved?

I've seen people on here claiming RCM is a done deal because Kauff has told the Zoning Board to approve it. But since RCM's lawyer isn't Werner - Lesniak, doesn't that mean Kauff would be telling the Zoning Board to not approve the project?

Obviously RCM did not give into Kauff's shakedown. So their application must be headed for denial. This is great news!

The County Rd. project in this economic environment probably will not happen as it will be hard to sell such homes. Look for that one to not happen.

As for our newest vocal race baiting blogger I have a question. Should the school board have just appointed the Reverend on your say so? I am sure other candidates should be considered. I for one hope Ken Aitken is back on the board. He is a good man and was a man who knew about technology and much more our district needed. He was far from a rubber stamp.

I left the meeting early and am sorry i did.

Thought I would log on before the train. WOW! What a meeting that must have been last night. Then again it seems that another anonymous posting from one person is seeking to convince all of us that did not attend that the school board meeting last night, that the meeting was more like a KKK rally. I seriously doubt it happened that way.

Obviously one person did not get the Reverend put on the school board and they are upset. Where was that person when all of the money was wasted, recently found out and un-certified people held positions they were not certified or qualified to hold, and where was this critic of the board when the former representative of that area of Aberdeen always looked so disinterested and bored.

But a Reverend was not immediately put on the school board and all of a sudden the race card is played.

I would suggest as well that everyone watch the meeting on the TV before we start calling people racists on one anonymous persons opinion.

So, the other shoe has dropped.

I was wondering what Demi and Bozo would be pulling out of their hat when they did not run for re-election.

Too bad really that they conned the lady who wants to be on the board. She seemed honest and sincere but after last night, her appointment will surely cause more ugliness. Unfortunately, so would not appointing her, as the previous post pointed out: damned if you do and damned if you don't.

What happened to having an open application and interview process? I do hope she will put in an application and then accept whatever the choice may be.

The other really sad thing is that there were good things talked about at the meeting but thanks to Pat Dumberist none of that will be remembered. Ironic since she complained that BOE relations overshadowed what is good for kids.

No one will remember that the budget presentation was really good news--ZERO % TAX LEVY!!! First time I can remember that EVER happening! New reading program added at MAMS to supplement the curriculum for struggling readers and Cathy Z's resignation was approved 8-0!!

Yeah, Pat, John, Jan,Marty and Cathy, yeah you really care about kids first...NOT!

Make that vote 17,008 to zero. Every resident needed her out.

For those of you who missed it, the residents of Aberdeen number 17,000.

Thanks for nothing Cathy Z.

8 to 0. They finally agreed on something that was good for our school district.

Cathy don't let the door hit you in the _ _ _ on the way out.

Now only one more meeting we have to endure is when they give her some fifty dollar plaque for her "service to the community". Too bad it has to be paid for with taxpayer dollars. She certainly wasted enough of those in her eleven years.

Committee of the Whole meetings are NOT televised. That was the WHOLE POINT. Now BARZA & the sheep who follow them can spin this ANY WAY THEY WANT. If you weren't there to witness this debacle, you will only hear someone's interpretation of what despicable deeds transpired. (Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap!)

Excellent points have been made in previous posts regarding John's voting record regarding minorities in our towns. Please remember what he did during the ill fated re-organization of our schools.

Last night, John couldn't even say the word "Cliffwood". He talked about "your part of town" not having a member on the BOE since Carolyn Williams.

Doesn't Jan Rubino live in Cliffwood? How dare he? How can she stay silent?

I commend Dr. Gambino, who volunteers at the MOST program as a Mentor, for getting hot under the collar & calling John out on that statement. Dr. Gambino stated that he represent ALL parts of Aberdeen, not just the neighborhood he lives in! Good for you, Tommy!

Cathy & John are the ones who have used members of both towns for their own purposes & have not had the interests of children at the center of every decision that they have made for DECADES. Jan, Pat & Marty let them and are just as guilty.

Pat Demarest brought up the old saw of a divided board & even went so far as to refere to the two sides as "North & South"!! Larry O' Connell admonished her for that & made excellent points regarding past practice by our BOE in filling vacated seats.

Michael Gross, our expensive & useless Board attorney, stated that the BOE had latitude in how to pick someone to fill the vacated seat, so he, as usual, was no help whatsover & gave the BOE no guidance on the issue. Guess I'll have to find out what the proper procedures are & let people know.

Chuck Kenny tried to settle things down and explain that there should be an open and tranparent process to the appointment of a vacant BOE seat. He made excellent points on procedures, transparency within the process and FAIRNESS To ALL APPLICANTS.

The Board had not even accepted & voted on Cathy's resignation until last night & Pat had already spoke w/ the Board Attorney & had a candidate present with a room full of supporters? Pat made an idiot of herself, stateing that shewanted everyone to accept Rev. Gaddis as a show of unity - if not, it would be more of the "same political" games!!

Does she listen to herself? EVER??

I'm guessing that Pat Demarest must have received a letter from the state regarding her ethics in paying herself as a poll worker in a school board election. Guess she's being investigated & this is payback.

Great legacy for the kids of this district, Pat. Way to go!

I don't know Reverend Gaddis & I apologize if I am mispelling her name. She seemed lovely, committed to the entire community & may be a great addition to the BOE. She said that she did take out an election packet, but it was delayed & she didn't submit it. I hope that she starts coming to BOE meetings & stays involved.

I hope also that, since there doesn't seem to be any "rules" regarding this that MANY, MANY people write letters deliniating their desire to fill the open Aberdeen seat & list their qualifications for the position.

Send them to Susan Irons, our wonderful Business Administrator, who has done a great job, with Dr. O' Malley, putting together a budget with a 0% increase in the tax levy!!

Perhaps then, a democratic & transparent process will proceed.

Nobody said Weiner-Lesniak represents every developer in town. They do represent the Train Station developer and the Anchor Glass developer, period.

RCM is a direct connection to Kauff via Cifelli/Ciaglia who always get their junk approved, as in the overbuilt parcel on Cambridge.

Just look at the development agreements for the projects and stop denying a basic truth.

As for the villianization of certain people on the school board and people who disagree with the Kauff regime. It has been their practice for a long time to label anyone with an alternative opinion as a racist or anti-semite. Owen Drapkin is especially good at starting whisper campaigns, as is Sobel.

I don't understand why the board (and by "board" I mean Pat D.) would try to place a new member in because she just "showed up" with supporters. That's just ridiculous! How stupid do these people think the public is?

I guess the obvious answer is: pretty darn stupid.

Thank heavens smarter heads prevailed. There should obviously be a time period for other people to be allowed to show interest in the BOE seat, if not a full on election process. The BOE is supposed to represent the public, not the board president's opinions.

I don't mean to imply that Rev. Gaddis is not out to to do a good job or that she doesn't have the communities best interests at heart, but does she really want to get into the position in a way that will be questioned?

Fair is fair. Let anyone who has an interest for the position have a chance to have their say and show up with their supporters.

It also sounds like certain board members could use some type of sensitivity training. I'm not going to call a race card, because I'm not convinced the comment was completely racist -- but at the very least it was class snobbery. "Those" people -- the lower class, the poor, or as Bruce Quinn liked to refer to us folks in Cliffwood, the crack users.

I guess Barbato just follows in his role models shoes.

Currently we collect recyclables once a month but pick up garbage twice a week. I constantly have an overstock of recyclables, and I only have one or two bags of trash to put out on trash day (sometimes none). I think we should recycle biweekly and pick up trash once a week. Maybe this would even encourage people to recycle more of the small stuff that is usually thrown in with the regular trash.

Not being at the meeting, I wish "Committee of a Whole Meetings" were also televised. This would give those of us residents another means of following and seeing what our school board members are actually doing as individuals. We wouldn't be subject to the rumors and spin masters, that like to spread their lies. It is impossible for some of us to attend these meetings, but that doesn't mean we don't want to know what our school board is doing. Let's start with TRANSPARENCY, if we want to move this district forward for ALL STUDENTS.

Does anyone know who decides what gets televised?

I also have to say I feel sorry for Rev. Gaddis, I think she was unfairly used By Pat Demerast and crew (Barbato & Zavorkas). It is also my opinion, that Rubino & Ruphert are equally as guilty for sitting there and letting someone be used for political gain. I would like to hear more of her opinions at BOE meetings, and hope she continues to attend, and voice her concerns.

PS. I very aware Zavorkas is off the board, but I don't think that will stop her from her quest to control, and her web of lies and accusuations against those who stood up to her.

Can anyone give those of us who could not make the meeting more about the reading program and the programs that were discussed to bring kids back from out of district placements?

Not to ignore the dramatics that seemed to have happened at the meeting, but it sounds like there were some very important subjects discussed.

The budget & reading program power points s/b posted soon.

I don't think the BOE can post them until they have both been approved - the budget by the county/ state & the reading program still needs to be voted on at the BOE regual action meeting, 3/30.

The proposed programming for special needs students - still in the talking & developing stages - includes the on going development of the CI program, and various inclusive programs with appropriate staff trainings before implimentation. All in the planning stages & using existing staff & budgeted professional development funds.

The Agenda 3000 reading program (not budgeted)seems to be a step in that direction, as our largest classification catagory is Specific Learning Disabled, a reading disability, in most cases.

Making sure our 8th graders are not reading at a 3rd grade level. What a concept for our leaders to take! I commend Dr. O' Malley on this step. I'd just like to see more data on this "Silver Bullet" reading program.
